The popular surf spot of Umm Al Quwain is now accepting bookings for the night…

If you’re looking for a tropical wilderness getaway without the long-haul flight, you’ll be pleased to know that you can now check in at the popular Kite Beach Center for the night.

Located in the picturesque emirate of Umm Al Quwain, Kite Beach immediately transports visitors to the beaches of Bali with its refreshing vibes, healthy food, and thatched-roof beach huts.

Dream beach cabins are priced at Dhs 250 per night on weekdays and Dhs 350 on weekends, with check-in at 9 p.m. and check-out at 6 a.m. The beach cabanas can accommodate up to six people and include terraces for sitting and sleeping, a private shower, a hammock, two bottles of water, a fruit platter, free wifi, an electrical outlet and air conditioning exterior.

To truly reconnect with nature, guests can opt for beach tents that start at Dhs200 on weekdays and Dhs250 on weekends and can accommodate a family of three to four. Regular campers can also pitch their own tent with prices starting at 100 Dhs per night.

As well as being a paradise for kitesurfers, the bohemian beach is perfect for nature lovers with eight different mangrove excursions, swings built from tree trunks and is also dog-friendly (for a fee entrance fee of 75 Dhs per puppy). These distinctive features are exactly why the scenic beach just outside of Dubai is well worth a visit.

The all-day menu has something for everyone, from acai bowls and chia pudding to pizza and fresh seafood. There’s also a vegan menu with a huge range of healthy plant-based options, including a Beyond Meat burger and truffle pizza.

There are a variety of water sports and activities to enjoy (at an additional cost) including paddle boarding, surfing, snorkeling, kite surfing and kayaking. There’s also a wooden Tarzan gym in the sand for fitness enthusiasts as well as a new collection of electric water activities such as an underwater e-scooter and e-surfboard.
