Revolt Motor, backed by RattanIndia, closed the reservation for its flagship RV 400 model within two hours of its takeover on Friday, citing an “electrifying” response.
Revolt, which reduced the price of the RV 400 by a steep ₹28,201 Thursday, also said it would start deliveries of the bikes already booked from September.
Revolt is available in two variants – RV 300 and RV 400 – having a range of 150 km on a single charge with a top speed of 100 km / hour and a full battery charge time of four hours.
“RattanIndia-Revolt got an electrifying response on the reopening of RV400 reservations earlier on Friday. Demand for their flagship model exploded, leading the company to stop bookings within 2 hours of posting them on their website, ”Revolt said in a statement.
The company said it sold RV400 units worth ₹50 crore in the Friday flash sale.
Revolt previously closed reservations on May 6 but decided to reopen from 12 p.m. on Friday.
“There has always been a huge demand for the RV400, and today’s response from buyers in the six operational cities, including Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Chennai, Ahmedabad and Hyderabad, who were eagerly awaiting to reserve their Revolt motorcycle. was no different. The company said.
Deliveries of the reserved motorcycles will begin from September, he said, adding that the company will also soon reopen reservations for the RV400.
With a reduction in the price of the electric bicycle after the revision of the FAME II incentive and the Delhi government incentive on electric vehicles, the bicycle currently costs less than ₹1-lakh in the nation’s capital, Revolt Motor said.
The company said it is also looking to expand its distribution and service network to 35 cities across the country.
